Anyone who says size doesn’t matter, is wrong. At least when it’s about saddles. And we’re talking saddles at BBB Cycling. Our dedicated saddle developers made it clear that the width of a saddle adds more comfort to your ride than any other feature on your bike. That’s the reason behind the development of the Echelon. With three width options, the Echelon is suited for all sit bone widths. Furthermore, the comfort is enhanced by a unique oversized cut-out, to relieve the pressure in the pubic area. With the Echelon there’s a choice for every rider, because no one deserves an uncomfortable ride. Now, who said size doesn’t matter? The Echelon combines ultimate performance with ultimate comfort. The large cut-out eliminates pressure points in the perineal area and keeps the blood flow intact, even in the most inclined riding positions. The hard density Lightfoam provides good support on longer rides.

Cycle Tech Oldham, the next step

Cycle Tech Oldham, The Next Step!

Now 2016 is almost over I have had time to reflect on the past couple of years, taking the big step of moving into a “Bricks and Mortar” shop. Then moving again into a bigger shop just over a year later.  The customer feedback as been fantastic and I think everyone likes the new shop.  I am not the type of person who likes to sit still, so what next, where do i take Cycle Tech Oldham in 2017?

I hope 2017 will be as exciting as 2016 as we will be adding Bike Fitting and Maintenance training to what we currently do, of course this will mean taking on extra staff, hopefully Elliot will be starting full time when he leaves College next year and we will be looking for a full time apprentice.  On a personal level I want to give something back to the local area as its the local customers who have helped me build up Cycle Tech Oldham, therefore we will be offering works experience placements to local Schools and Colleges.

Another way we are giving something back to our customers and the local community is that we are launching a Crowdfunder Project in early 2017.  The Crowdfunder Project will be to fund building a Training room for the Maintenance classes and building a dedicated Bike Fit room.

I am still working on the rewards (any ideas are welcome) but hopefully they will be rewards that potential supporters will want and want to get on board with the new project

On a final note I want to say a Big Thank you to every customer who as been into Cycle Tech Oldham over the last few years, wish you all a Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year
